Being aware of what’s going on around you at any given point in time can be tough. Overstimulation, understimulation, anxiety, crowds, social pressure, simply being perceived, these are all things that can be experienced simply walking down to the hotel lobby to get some ice. The focus of this workshop is to learn some of the fundamental skills to practice mindfulness in our daily lives as a tool and coping skill for self-regulation and navigating the world around us.

Building a Sona that represents you, your values, and all the little elements that make up your identity can be a complex, and sometimes overwhelming, experience. Many of us don’t truly understand our values or have been made to live in environments where those values are not respected or safe to share. In this workshop, we will explore how defining your own value systems impacts you and your Sona(s), as well as how to spend more time living congruently within those systems.

Description: Creative writing, fanfiction, and written roleplay are very common mediums of expression in the Furry community. What if you could also use your RPs to work through your IRL problems? Many people use these mediums to express themselves, but not many people realize that in doing so, they are utilizing a therapeutic intervention! In this workshop, we will endeavor to blend creative writing with concepts from Narrative Therapy in an effort to demonstrate the impact your imagination can have on your sense of emotional wellbeing.
Many of us have experienced parental trauma, leaving us scarred and wounded. One path through that pain is to listen to and tend to the needs of our inner child. Using examples from Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli, we will walk you through developing awareness of your inner child’s voice, accepting their needs, and identifying action steps for how to make decisions related to what your inner child is asking of you. This workshop is lecture-based, please bring a pencil, paper, or a device with the ability to take notes.
